Shaken Baby Syndrome is a form of abusive head trauma that occurs when a frustrated caregiver "shakes" and/or "slams" a child, usually to stop them from crying.

Violent shaking of a child causes brain damage and may result in severe developmental disabilities, learning disabilities, Cerebral Palsy, blindness, seizures, paralysis, or death.
